Jim Trainer's Community Service
Jim’s volunteerism takes a lot of his time. As a volunteer for WDFW
(Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife) he helps rescue the wild critters
that are in the forest.
He takes people on forest and wildlife tours for
Illahee Preserve
and the Great Peninsula Conservancy.
Jim conducts environmental presentations for pre-schools, home schools, public
schools and retirements centers.
Jim holds an annual tree giveaway to donate trees to local environmental groups. These trees have been donated
by Treez, Inc, KiTSA, and the Hood Canal Nursery.
Jim conducts environmental presentations for local schools and coordinates tree planting projects.
Jim has been a guest speaker for many environmental groups talking about Heritage
Trees, Trees and Treetures and his concerns on the growing loss of the forest.
Jim is a former a Forest Board Member for West Sound Tech .
